Since the foundation of MMP, it has been a great concern of mine to work with people who share my values and attitudes and whose trust and reliability are a cornerstone of our cooperation. With my advisory boards, I have two entrepreneurial personalities at my side, from whose great experience I highly benefit in my daily work. They are my source of ideas and critical advisors, who bring all their expertise to MMP.
The decision to work very closely with various specialists in a network instead of with a larger permanent staff has proven itself over the years, as I can offer my clients a much broader range of knowledge and experience and can fall back on the best individual solution for the respective problem. In this case too, my maxim is that I work with people and not with companies.
In May 2007, I decided to found MMP Mück Management Partners AG in order to pursue my own professional path after many successful years in industry, financial services and consulting, in which I can implement my demands and values even more consistently. Since that time I have successfully completed a large number of projects for a wide range of clients. What was and is particularly important to me is that I continue to have a very good relationship with all these clients and that new projects are constantly being created.
Before founding MMP, as CFO of the OC Oerlikon Group, I was instrumental in shaping the reorganization. Before that, I was responsible for the worldwide tax affairs of Commerzbank AG. My time at General Electric, during which I was head of Taxes Germany and accompanied a large number of acquisitions and restructurings from the financial side, had a particular impact on me.
I started my professional career in the international tax department of Price Waterhouse (today: PriceWaterhouseCoopers) with a focus on mergers & acquisitions and international tax planning.
It has always been important to me to pass on my knowledge and experience alongside my job. As a lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance, in numerous lectures, seminars and specialist essays, I have been happy to do this and have also co-authored the book "Praxishandbuch Unternehmenskauf".
I have been friends with Arno Bohn for many years, which is also reflected in our joint commitment to Project HOPE e.V. Due to his profound management and sales experience from his board activities for international corporations, he supports me in many strategic questions for individual clients as well as in the orientation of MMP as a whole. With his positive and demanding manner, he questions structures and decisions until we have found the right answer together.
Thomas Hecht has been one of the top BioTech experts in Europe for many years, which is reflected by his numerous high-ranking mandates in this field. He not only knows the industry, but is also excellently positioned in fundraising. In exchange with him, I quickly get a good feeling for whether and how we can find viable solutions when looking for investors.
The selection of network partners was and is a process. The basis is mutual trust and my conviction that I have found the right partner for the respective area. Within the network all partners have proven their reliability several times. They are among the best in their field.
